Antique Red Wooden Joseon Dynasty Soban Table
Description: A Korean wooden low table Soban, with burl wood solid top with a molded surround, on four turned legs with dual lateral base rails. The top is probably Ginko and is 12 sided.
Sobans are small tray-like tables, usually wooden, used in Korea for carrying food and as individual dining tables.
PROVENANCE: a rural Tennessee estate.

Period: 18-19th Century
Condition: wear to wooden surface with original red finish and some splits in the wood.
