Original woodcut, printed in colours.
Signed in pencil and with the red owl stamp.
On firm cream simile Japan paper with full margins and deckle edge
18.25 x 14.25 inch
  • Artist: Paul Jacoulet (1902–1960).
  • Scene: The print depicts a reclining female nude surrounded by insectivorous plants and orchids, set against a pink background.
  • Production: Known for his complicated printing process, Jacoulet used dozens of woodblocks for a single image to achieve rich color relationships.
  • Edition: This image is part of a limited edition marked as 350 but only 275 prints were made.  This print is marked 255.
