A Framed JAPANESE WOODBLOCK TRIPTYCH AIDO HOSAI (1848 – 1920).

Description: a dramatic scene from a Kabuki, showing famous scenes from Kanjincho with the monk Benkei in the center played by Ichikawa Danjuro.
Published 1887, 5th month, day 18. Signature: Baido Kunimasa hitsu in Toshidama cartouche. Publisher: Tsujioka Bunsuke. Signed Kôchôrô Hôsai ga
condition: Good in color and print quality, creases, edges with holes, small tears (not observable under the acid free mount) and some loss of paint to the frame.

Dimensions: 14.8 inches x 9.75 inches (37.5 x 25 cm) and displayed in a custom made frame with UV resistant glazed frame. The frame outer dimensions 21 x 35.5 inches. Ready to hang in your home or office.
